House 8.16 “Gut Check” Review

Submitted by on April 13, 2012 No Comment

Watching House is such an amazing experience any one canget, as we all get to be in on the amazing jokes that House pulls, and we get astonished as we see them pan out. It never gets old to see how people become amazed and surprised by how genius House is. On the other hand, this hasn’t been happening for the last two episodes, as this episode that went by the name of “Gut Check” was as the last week’s episode that was named “Blowing the Whistle”. On both episodes we weren’t laughing with House’s jokes on other people, but we were in fact on the end of his jokes, it was pretty weird being jerked and thrown around.

House Season 8 Episode 16

We all predicted that House is playing with Wilson in a cruel way in order to make him learn a lesson at the end, but just like last week, we saw the whole episode riding on a idea that House came up with for his own fun, it wasn’t that fun to watch the first episode, but it was okay, but seeing it again for the 2nd time in a row, not so good. No one really understood what is the point behind all of this, was he trying to make Wilson think he has a son, a fake son in order to understand that being a parent to House is all what he needs? Either way it is done and over, we hope they don’t repeat that again.

Now onto the important part of the show, the patient and the case, Taub got affected by him as a result of playing the role of the Enforcer at his hockey team. And Taub has always been a small built man and he always got bullied. But finally he overcomes this, thanks to none other than Dr. House, he alongside Bobby the patient start to bond and build a strong relation over their common interests. Boddy always dreamt of being a hockey player and he actually likes to play, not only go on the ice and battle it out with other players. While Taub on the other hand started his medical career as a cosmetic surgeon, although he really knew that he really wants to be a diagnostic doctor, this is his passion and always has been his dream.

And we saw Taub giving up all the money and wealth in order to work his dream job in House’s team, so will the hockey play also give up sport if it wasn’t his real dream? So, the end result that Bobby takes on the 2.1 million 3 year contract that got offered to him, and he told Taub that living half of a dream is way better than not living any.
