Typically not, but in Fox’s hospital series—uniquely entitled, ‘House’; the main character, Dr. Gregory House is a person designated to save other people’s lives, but as he does so—continues to act heartless with his charges.
Given cases from incurable tumors to stigmata; He maintains his harsh attitude, even as he fins cures to the patient. Season 1’s main plotline for House, was the bet made by the Hospital’s Dean Lisa Cuddy and House regarding his consumption of the drug, Vicodin. The withdrawal of said drug causes surprising side-effects to the efficiency, and health of Dr. House.
